The purpose of carrying out educational and outreach activities is to inform and educate citizens from the scope of the project on the concept of circular economy, to raise awareness of the importance of changing waste management habits and efficient resource management, and to enhance the visibility of the role of LSGs in building an efficient and comprehensive waste management system as well as mutual communication between project participants.

The goal of implementing educational and outreach activities on sustainable waste management is to inform and educate citizens about the concept of a circular economy and the role of waste management, and to raise citizens' awareness of the importance of changing their habits for the needs of responsible waste management and efficient resource management.

This will strengthen the awareness and knowledge of citizens about the role of LSGs in building an efficient and comprehensive waste management system, as well as their mutual communication.

Measures that will help to achieve the defined goal are related to the implementation of educational and outreach activities, which derive from the Program of educational and outreach activities on sustainable waste management of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

The total value of the project is HRK 511,042.35, while the eligible costs are HRK 503,887.00.

The project was awarded a grant of HRK 428,303.63, representing 84.9999365% of the total eligible costs.

The estimated duration of the project is 20 months, i.e. the project implementation period end on 26 June 2020.
